Which is exactly what Katie did last night! Panic at first - then bliss! It was working again this morning!
Walked the gentle riverside stretch from Monmouth to Redbrook, then steeply up hill and a fabulous, cool few miles through the woods before dropping down to Bigsweir Bridge. Katie, Tom & Jane walked back from the end of each stretch to meet me.
Then we had a quick pint before driving down the valley to have a look at spectacular Tintern Abbey. (Almost rivals Fountains for spectacular setting - but rather too many cars and tourists!)
Had a nice meal in the pub at Brockweir tonight. (They even had "brockburgers" on the menu but none of us fancied eating badger!) Then back to out beautiful campsite above the valley - but it's a bit busier tonight.
Great weather today - hope for the same tomorrow.
